Fern, you've got me longing for the days to come, the warmth of spring, the bursts of color, the daffodils and tulips emerging. Winter lasts long here on Cape Cod, but I'm going to keep looking forward ... even as I watch for any and all signs that warmer weather is to come and the world emerge more colorful.

Yes, Linda I agree the colours are the best. Today we have been inundated with a huge snowfall out west - only weeks before spring! Our seasons are often short-lived with longer winters. I miss all the beautiful colours of the east.

I can relate to this on so many levels! Love your gardening analogy and praying you find some time for soul care these days, friend!

Thanks Kristen! I am always amazed how the world around us can teach us so much. Now when I look at my garden I'm reminded to ask "what do I need right now" and so it is a great cue to remind me - even when the garden is covered with snow!!

Such a great topic and analogy. I have issues with weeds along the bordering brick along my house. They drive me crazy. And it’s so easy to let weeds grow in our thoughts, relationships and life. I need a heavy duty weed eater. 😂

I hear you!! Those weeds can grown anywhere and the worst if if we don't keep on top if it they keep growing!! Thanks for your comment Laura!

Dear Fern,

I am using your thoughts for my devotional time today!

The prayer at the end of your article is such an "active reach" to God. Praise God you launched your book!!

I have one in the "oven" and I am working on it today.

Shalom,

Vedawattie (Veda)

I really enjoyed your analogies . They will help me be more aware of the weeds that can creep in on us.

Thanks so much Stephen!
